Pancakes in England are traditionally eaten on Shrove Tuesday with lemon and sugar. Pancakes however are widely popular in many countries and are known under different names. For example, they have Crepes in France, Pfannkuchen in Germany or Palacinky in Slovakia. In Europe, they are served as either a sweet main meal or a desert, whilst in America pancakes are popular for breakfast. There are also savoury pancakes if you like bit of a change.
